This guide is required if your Epson printer, prints out a status sheet (obtained by pressing the reset button for 3 seconds) with an IP address of 192.168.192.168 or if DHCP is set to disabled.
If your printer shows a different IP address attempt the steps in the Lightspeed iPad Printing Setup Guide prior to continuing.
Requirements:
- Epson Printer (Non intelligent model)
- Printer power supply, paper also must be loaded
- Ethernet cable
- Computer/Laptop running either Windows or Mac OSX with an ethernet port
- Google chrome or Safari web browser
Windows Instructions
Please connect your printer directly to your computer using the ethernet cable, also connect the printer to power.
Turn the printer on and then press and hold the small pin hole button at the back of the printer for 10 seconds. A status sheet should print out notifying that the printer is resetting to factory default. Do not turn off the printeruntil the reset has finished.
Next, press and hold the small pin hole button at the back of the printer for 3 seconds.
The printer will print a Status Sheet with the IP Address and settings on it. The IP Address that prints out should be 192.168.192.168 like the example attached.
To configure your printer with an IP address that is compatible with your network, we will need to make a temporary change to your computer's network setting.
Open the Network and Sharing Centre
WINDOWS 7: Click the Start button , in the search bar type 'network and sharing centre' and select it from the list of displayed options.
WINDOWS 8/10: Click the Start button or press the Windows key on your keyboard, in the search bar type 'network and sharing centre' and select it from the list of displayed options
Select Local Area Connection on the right hand side
You should see the below status page.
Select Properties
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) - This can also sometimes be known as Internet TCP/IP on older computers.
Select Properties
From this screen we will now edit these settings to place your computer on the same network range as your printer, we do this so that we are able to connect to it and change the DHCP setting.
Select 'Use the following IP address' and input the below settings:
IP Address: 192.168.192.167
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
**Once you complete this guide, change the above settings back to 'Obtain an IP address automatically' to restore your original settings.
Once done select OK on each screen until back on your Desktop
Next launch the Google Chrome browser
Navigate to http://192.168.192.168 This will open the printer configuration page.
Under the configuration menu, select TCP/IP
Change the 'Get IP Address' setting to 'Auto', and click 'Submit'.
You will see a message on your screen confirming your changes, and click 'Reset'. Your printer will reboot. After 10 seconds you can turn off and disconnect the printer.
Plug your printer back into the modem/router instead of into your computer.

Mac OSX Instructions
Please connect your printer directly to your computer using the ethernet cable, also connect the printer to power.

Go to the Wifi/Networking Icon on your Mac in the top right.
Select Open Network Preferences
Select Ethernet or Thunderbolt Ethernet from the list of connections on the left

Change the fields as follows:
Configure IPv4: Manually
IP Address: 192.168.192.167
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
**Once you complete this guide, change the Configure IPv4 setting back to 'Using DHCP' to restore your original settings.
Click Apply
Next launch the Google Chrome or Safari browser
Navigate to http://192.168.192.168 This will open the printer configuration page.
